Fairy Tale

Die neue japanische Oshare Kei-Band aus Japan

Im jahre 2001, ist die Band das erste mal in der Öffentlichkeit erschienen. Im Jahre 2002 gaben sie ihr erstes richtiges Ihnterview für die Rock and read. (dazu später mehr) Ihre erste singel Cinderrella erschien kurz danach auf dem Japanischen CDmarkt. Der genaue termin ihrer Gründung, istleider nicht bekannt, aber es soll zwischen Mitte 2000 und anfang 2001 geesen sein. Kura und Carotto, die zusammen in Osaka aufgewachsen sind, hatten die Idee für die Band. Bei einem Kurztripp nach Tokyo, wo sie auf der Suche nach einer geeigneten WG-Wohnung, spazierten sie duch Harajuku im Yoyogi-Park. Dort trafen sie auf die damals 15 Jährige MiyA, die auf dem Weg von ihrer Bass Musicstunde mit diesem dort unterwegs war. Neugierig, sprachen sie sie an und kaum war das geschehen, hatten sie die Idee MiyA in die Band zu intregieren. Nach dem Umzug der Zwi nach Tokyo, begann das projekt Fairy Tale. Ganz zu beginn ihres zusammenschlusses, stand der Name für die drei Mädchen fest, denn Märchen, war eine der Gemeinsamkeiten die sie hatten. Doch stand die Musicrichtung noch nicht sofort fest. Denn Kura, war im gegensatz zu den anderen nicht auf die Musicrichtungen on Diru, Despa, MUCC, Deadman, 12012 und Merry ausgerichtet, sondern auf Bands wie ANCafe, Kra, Alice Nine und Ayabie.Dennoch setzte sich ihr Wunsch auf eine Musicrichtung die eine Misschungaus ANCafe und Alice Nine zu sein scheint durch. Bei den Liedern ihrer ersten Singel Cinderrella, spiegelt sichdie traurige Vergangenheit der drei wieder und die Hoffung auf ein Happy end in ihrem Leben. Besonders das tragische Schicksal von Carrotto hatiele Japanische Fans berührt. Carrottos Eltern verstaben bei einem traischen Autounfall am Rande der Stadt Mie. Alleine sie und ihre Scheter, überlebten den Unfall. Sie erbrachteihre Jungend mit dieser in einem Weisenhaus in Osaka. Wo sie eine der wenigen war, die nicht in eine Flegefamilie vermittelt werden konnten.

Interview with Fairytale in Rock and Read from 2002

Q: How did you get the idea for your name? all: We like Disney (laughing) and fairies and so we made the decision to name our band Fairytale. Q: Who founded the band? MiyA: Kura-kun and Carot-kun founded the band in Ôsaka but then they went to Tokyô where we met in Harajuku at Yoyogi-Park where I was sitting with my Bass. They spoke to me and we liked each other immediately. So the others decided to join me in the band. Q: How did you become the singer of the band, Kura-san? Kura: I think my voice is really great and the best in the world. Q: Why are you dekora? all: Look at us! (laughing) No, seriously because we are really into that style! Q: Why didnt you want to have any other bandmembers? [silence] Kura to MiyA: Right, why dont we have any other bandmembers? (discussing) MiyA responsing: We are rare! (the others agree) Q: Would you fuck a Guppie, Carot-san? Carot: (shocked) What?! Why should I fuck a fish?! (the others are laughing) Q: Oh sorry, I meant a groupie... Carot: (blushs) (the others still are laughing) ...perhaps... (the others are shocked) Q: Describe your music in three words. all: Its our addiction! Q: How did you get the idea for your first single? Kura: Our first single is called Cinderella. We like this fairytale because it describes our lives as painful as Cinderellas was. We hope for a happy-end, too. Q: When does your next tour start? Carot: (shocked) What?! We will make a tour? (the others are laughing) MiyA: You were drunk when we told you that. You must have forgotten it. Carot: Oh fuck! I drank too much... Kura: Our next tour will start on the....(looks at the manager) When did it start again? Manager: Anou...(looks for a paper) It will start on the 28th May in Sapporo. The tour will be calles Fairytopia. Kura: Cant we please stop here right now? We have to go now because we wanted to go to the game-center. It will close in two hours. Interviewer: ..... OK, then thank you very much for your time... (whlie the band is leaving the Interviewer says: I never heard something like this before....)
